In a land full of trees, with mountains so tall,
Lived Caleb the T-Rex, who wasn’t that small.
He was three years old, with a roar mighty loud,
But what made him special was how he stood proud.
Caleb loved dinos, big trucks, and fast cars,
He dreamed of zooming high up to the stars.
He had a mom and a dad, each in their own place,
But Caleb knew love was in every space.
“Why don’t they live together?” Caleb would ask,
But staying positive was his daily task.
His mom and dad loved him, that he knew,
And Caleb’s days were filled with adventures, brand new!
One bright sunny morning, Caleb woke with a grin,
Today was the day new adventures begin!
He hopped out of bed with a thud and a boom,
Ready to make the day go vroom-vroom!
At his mom’s house, Caleb saw something new,
A big, yellow digger that was shiny and blue!
“I want to try it!” Caleb said with a cheer,
But inside he felt a little bit of fear.
The digger was big, with wheels oh so round,
And it made a loud noise as it rolled on the ground.
But Caleb was brave, he wanted to try,
Even if it meant he had to reach up high!
“Be brave, little dino,” his mom said with a smile,
“You can do it, just try for a while.”
So Caleb climbed up, with a wibble and wobble,
And soon he was digging without any trouble!
Later that day, Caleb went to his dad’s,
Where big, fast cars made him feel glad.
There was a red race car, shiny and sleek,
It zoomed down the track with a loud, happy squeak!
“Can I drive it?” Caleb asked with delight,
But the car was so fast, it gave him a fright.
His dad knelt down and said, “Don’t you worry,
You’re brave, my boy, there’s no need to hurry.”
Caleb took a deep breath, his heart full of hope,
He climbed in the car and held on to the rope.
With a push and a pull, the car sped away,
And Caleb’s smile grew bigger that day.
At the end of the day, Caleb sat in his bed,
With thoughts of his adventures swirling in his head.
He was proud of himself, for being so brave,
For trying new things, even when he was afraid.
He thought about his mom, and he thought about his dad,
And how much they loved him, which made him so glad.
“Even though they don’t live in the same place,”
“They both love me lots, I see it in their face.”
With a yawn and a stretch, Caleb closed his eyes,
Dreaming of trucks, and cars, and blue skies.
He knew in his heart, no matter where he’d roam,
With his mom and his dad, he’d always have a home.
